
Tender Administration Office Specialist

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Ensure the purchases, Tenders and negotiation of materials, equipment, services and supplies from vendors are done per the Qatar laws.
- Identify products that will enhance the efficiency of the department.
- Assist Tender Committee Head with weekly Tender Committee meetings and other related activities.
- Attend meetings with regard to Procurement activities, for planning and recommendations.
- Maintaining the administration of the tenders.
- Prepare bid bonds if required.
- Review and format draft bids in order to comply with Government Tender law and purchaser requirements.
- Strive to continuously improve the tender process.
- Compiles data from a wide variety of sources for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with various Policies and procedures, and/or monitoring program components.
- Assist in the public bid openings as required for the purpose of ensuring compliance with established regulations.
- Coordinate with focal points and end-users evaluation of all bids, purchases and contract agreements for the purpose of ensuring compliance with policies Administers bidding process and contracts for vendor performance/compliance.
- Assists head in managing staff and vendors for the purpose of providing information and facilitating the Tendering process.
- Compiles data from a wide variety of sources for the purpose of analysing issues, ensuring. compliance with various Policies and procedures, and/or monitoring program components.
- Executes various assignments to ensure a successful tendering process.
- Maintains a wide variety of Tendering records and files for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trails for compliance.
- Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Prepares a variety of written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written references and/or conveying information.
- Researches a variety of items for the purpose of recommending purchases, contracts and maintaining district-wide services.
- Responds to inquiries for the purpose of resolving issues or referring to appropriate parties.
