Context of the role is a link between LNG Buyers and Qatargas Marketing Department.
The position is a significant part of a dynamic and competitive business environment.
It is associated with pre-and post-LNG sales activities and the continuous development of networks.
Challenge of intense market competition and rapid change within global LNG markets.
SPA agreements are complex, of significant value and can be 15 years or more in duration.
Long term SPA’s are complex in nature, with negations taking place over many months.
He/she must be able to communicate complex commercial concepts to senior management and shareholders.
Works as part of a team, with Legal and Economic Evaluation on price reviews and associated arbitrations.
Key Job Accountabilities – I
Liaise with A&P and EEBE on evaluations of supply opportunities initiated by senior colleagues, and modifications or updates thereto to allow senior colleagues to field other opportunities in parallel.
Support LNG or gas sales agreement term-sheet negotiations by preparing confidentiality agreements; arranging the meetings; developing and maintaining the meeting records and other such tasks needed to support the progress of negotiation, as directed by the lead negotiator.
Support the lead negotiator in the preparation of initial review drafts of sales agreements or term sheets as well as follow up the version management and comment tracking of the document through the negotiation process.
Assist the lead negotiator in the interface with the functional groups for collating; filtering and compiling their comments on LNG or gas sales agreements.
Perform negotiations under close supervision of senior colleagues, discrete elements of agreements with customers as and when deemed appropriate by the lead negotiator.
Key Job Accountabilities – II
Responsible for the approval documentation and the execution logistics of LNG or gas sales agreements through QG Legal and the offices of the authorized signatories (senior management).
Support the maintenance of internal controls, tools and procedures such as updating databases; performing controls checks and filing deal documentation.
Support the customer relationship management process by contributing to the customer database and meeting records as well as the logistics arrangements for customer visits up to senior management level.
Develop a close understanding of key contacts, players, markets and Qatargas’ negotiation history with the same.
Perform scoping analyses on customers or market developments as directed by senior marketers in order to identify further study requirements by EEBE or as input into customer engagement planning.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or Finance.
Knowledge and/or Experience
4 years of experience or have completed an internal Marketing Professional Development Program in Qatargas.
