Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Biology Teacher based in Al Khor, with some flexibility to work from home for designated tasks. The Biology Teacher will design and deliver engaging biology lessons aligned with the curriculum, including planning lessons, preparing instructional materials, and assessing learner progress. Daily responsibilities include teaching classes, facilitating discussions, supervising practical activities or demonstrations, grading assignments and exams, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, communicating regularly with learners and guardians, and participating in departmental meetings and professional development activities. The teacher is expected to use a variety of teaching strategies and educational technologies to support diverse learning needs and foster interest in biology.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong teaching and classroom management skills, including experience in Teaching and a track record as a Qualified Teacher.
• Candidates should possess subject-specific expertise, including solid knowledge of Biology and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Candidates should possess instructional planning capabilities, including effective Lesson Planning and development of engaging learning activities and assessments.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, learners, and guardians.
• Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Education, or a related field; a teaching certification or license is highly beneficial.
• Experience teaching at the school or college-preparatory level, familiarity with modern educational technology, and the ability to support diverse learning styles are advantageous.
