About the role

Responsible for sourcing aircraft spares/tools and managing the component repair cycle at the lowest cost whilst ensuring part availability to meet the needs of aircraft maintenance.

Some Of The Tasks Include

  • Review supplier quotations and negotiate best price and lead time/turn times ensuring maximum value for money in any buying or repair decisions.
  • Monitor aircraft materials requisitions on escalation; scrutinize the requirement along with related technical document(s).
  • FSCO shall monitor daily unserviceable inventory and take appropriate action to release such unserviceable units as earliest as possible.
  • Fleet Supply Chain Officer (FSCO) shall validate orders, scrap notes raised by buyers as per policy, ensure correct system processes/budget codes are adopted and send weekly report to concern teams for expediting pending approvals in workflow.
  • Progress, expedite outstanding orders, follow up for shipment movement for MDD / critical parts and communicate delivery dates with the customer as required. Overdue orders should not exceed above 5%.
  • Ensure only approved vendors are used and monitor supplier performance as per contractual clauses or as per SSC, PSAA or QTR set of criteria. If necessary, engage Vendor Performance Team.
  • Explore open market to support demands on advance exchanges / loaners.
  • Monitor un-fulfilled loan and exchange orders to ensure prompt action is being taken to close these orders.
  • In case of any AOG events in base, review & provide SC feedbacks for robbery fulfilment / back up options.
  • Lead resolution of parts in quarantine by coordinating actions with suppliers, stores to ensure SDR closure in 10 days.
  • Keeps a close liaison with SC Trax invoice team, finance team & with vendor in resolving the discrepancies related to invoice payment process evolving in the course of procurement.
  • Prepare reports such as data analysis, cost benchmarking or presentations as requested by Senior Officer or Management.
  • Responsible for updating ERP with data input and maintaining accuracy of critical system parameters.
  • Manage the team & work towards the achievement of set KPI’s.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement, sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues including training of new staff.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

About You

  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience or
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience
  • Working experience of aviation industry supply chain with a minimum 3 years of aircraft material purchasing and or rotable management.
  • Ability to understand Technical Publications related to aircraft such as OEM RSPL, ATA chapters, Vendor Manuals, IPC, CMM, CMA, EO, ESWC, SB , VSB and OEM/Suppliers.
  • Supply Chain qualification such a Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply- CIPS
  • Lean Trained
  • Analytical skills on materials specifications, products and industry
  • Detailed knowledge of ERP systems
  • Able to interpret contracts
