Overview of the role
The Branch Accountant plays a key role in supporting the branch’s financial operations by ensuring accurate invoicing, effective receivables follow-up, strong cash controls, and timely financial reporting. This role helps maintain compliance with company policies and supports smooth day-to-day coordination across sales, operations, and finance.
What you will do
- Manage invoicing for units and validate sales order conditions, including discount checks, subsidy approvals, and gate pass issuance.
- Perform regular follow-up on accounts receivable, review recovery accounts, and support the calculation of provisions.
- Create SMC contracts with billing plans and provide timely information for general ledger updates.
- Maintain petty cash records, process petty cash claims, and follow up on outstanding IOUs.
- Monitor general ledger activity and support month-end reporting, balance sheet substantiation, and financial pack preparation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial controls, and audit requirements, escalating issues where needed.
Required skills to be successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Strong understanding of invoicing, accounts receivable, petty cash, and general ledger processes.
- Knowledge of financial controls, compliance requirements, and audit support processes.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work across branch operations and finance teams.
