About the Role:

As a Second Commis Chef, you will be required to work in kitchen areas of Lounges in order to fine tune their skills while accomplishing tasks in various areas. Maintain a high standard of professional approach and a passionate attitude towards all customers at all times.

Operational

  • Perform daily shift requirements as per standard operating procedures and as per the guidance of the line manager.
  • Assist the line manager and team in the majority of tasks within the kitchen, i.e., preparing the kitchen with items required for food preparation and sourcing of ingredients.
  • Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is maintained/communicated to customers during food service.
  • Communicate efficiently with First Commis Chef and Chef de Partie by providing regular updates and feedback on service and food-related issues.
  • Report faulty kitchen items and equipment to the line manager for further escalation.
  • Participate in the preparation of the menu and other food items as well as actively involved in the presentation of various food items.
  • Liaise with stores and other departments to ensure products and items are well stocked.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You

  • Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills
  • English communication skills with Entry-level roles – no prior job-related work experience
  • Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
