How your day looks like:

  • Be responsible for spa treatment consultations and identification of possible contraindications.
  • Be responsible for performing beauty therapy treatments, massage and body therapy treatments and specialized treatments for the members and guests to the required standard and provide guests with home-care well-being program.
  • Be responsible for after care advice for the member of guest
  • Be responsible for achieving retail sales
  • Ensure that all treatment rooms and therapy back of house areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Ensure that all equipment is serviced as part of a preventative maintenance program
  • Carry out spa tours and spa consultations with guests and members, giving personalized advice and promote facilities, treatments and products
  • Assist during spa promotions and events
  • Assist with marketing and public relations
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
  • Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
  • Possess the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
  • Ensure correct records are kept for member and guest visits, treatments and purchases
  • Ensure correct information is recorded for stock control in accordance with the Senior Therapist
  • Be responsible for treatment laundry stock inventory and security
  • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified
  • Ensure that all staff within the department works in a manner, unlikely to give risk of harm or injury to themselves or others.

SPA & RETAIL SALES

  • Responsible for achieving retail sales targets as set by the Director of Spa.
  • Ensure aftercare recommendations are made at the end of every treatment, linking with client concerns and offering to prepare products at reception for purchase.
  • Participate in standard operating procedures for ESPA’ s Active Retail.
  • Encourage clients to return to the spa by recommending an ongoing treatment program and cross selling the other business centers in the spa. Maintain a sound knowledge of all treatments, packages and any promotions.
  • Participate in demonstrations / events as required.
  • Ensure that daily sales figures are accurately recorded.
  • Assist Assistant Spa manager in monitoring therapist targets and provide motivation and training where necessary.

TREATMENT STANDARDS / OPERATIONS

  • Perform all treatments to an exceptional standard, as per the ESPA protocols and standards taught in training, whilst tailoring to the client’s specific needs.
  • Update own knowledge of products and treatment brand standards, outside of formal training by ESPA.
  • Carry out an in-dept consultation with each client prior to treatment, ensuring medical history and concerns are identified.
  • Perform treatments for VIP’s and journalists as required and to the highest standard.
  • Performing opening and closing procedures; Reporting maintenance issues.
  • Support Assistant Spa manager by helping with stock control, stock takes and orders as requested.
  • Provide a warm welcome to clientele whilst striving to provide outstanding service.
  • Maintain the highest standard of quest service by following ESPA protocols and displaying genuine care and attention to detail.
  • Consistently record guest preferences, accurately updating guest profiles and communicating any relevant information to colleagues.
  • Ensure confidentiality at all times including data protection, medical details and any information provided in confidence by the client.
  • Report any guest complaints to the Director of Spa or Duty Manager.
