About The Role
As the Program Manager Corporate Development – Investments, your task is to provide strategic leadership in the development, execution, and management of Qatar Airways’ equity investments and M&A activities, ensuring alignment with executive management’s vision and business objectives. The role is responsible for maximizing investment returns through rigorous portfolio oversight, market analysis, and proactive recommendations on expansion or divestment. The Program Manager will champion innovation, risk management, and operational excellence, driving value creation and sustainable growth for the organization.
Your Responsibilities Strategic
- Formulate, update, and implement comprehensive investment strategies, policies, and procedures that support Qatar Airways’ strategic, business, and financial goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and execute new investment and M&A opportunities, leveraging market insights and innovative approaches.
- Lead due diligence and financial analysis for potential investments, assessing risk-return profiles and recommending optimal deal structures.
- Prepare and present investment proposals to executive management and the board, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment.
Operational
- Oversee the full lifecycle of investment and divestment transactions, from structuring and due diligence to closing and post-completion integration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful deal execution.
- Monitor and report on portfolio performance, implementing strategies to optimize returns and mitigate risks.
- Regularly review and rebalance the investment portfolio to ensure ongoing alignment with strategic objectives.
- Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Qualifications About you
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience OR
- Graduate in Business Admin, Finance, or Project Management
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication
- Excellent research skills using internet sources, tools, social media, etc.
- Good presentation skills to senior managers and executives
- Advanced User in AI tools, Excel, Powerpoint, etc
- Proven research and analysis skills, mathematical & ROI modelling
- Coordination skills of project activities and tasks across many departments, vendors and stakeholders – with diplomacy and maturity
- Undertakes full responsibility for management and updates of tasks, due dates, project plans, and project documentation.
- Experience in simple to medium complexity business case creation
- Experience in developing Financial models, ROI, etc
