Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Planning Engineer for our Road and Infrastructure project based in Doha, Qatar.
You will support the planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress monitoring of our project, ensuring effective coordination, timely delivery, and visibility of cost and schedule performance to the client and project management.
We envisage success in this role to include;
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, sequencing, phasing, and logistics in coordination with the Senior Planning Engineer and Project Leadership.
- Monitoring and analyzing project progress, cost data, productivity, and earned value metrics, and reporting performance against approved plans.
- Reviewing contractor work programs, verifying actual progress, and assessing schedule compliance and delays.
- Managing schedule updates in Primavera and supporting delay analysis, change orders, and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations.
- Monitoring cost plans and cash flows, consolidating results into monthly consultant and project control reports.
- Preparing and reporting KPIs, project metrics, and risk-related inputs appropriate to the project stage.
- Coordinating long-lead item schedules and supporting procurement tracking with contractors and suppliers.
- Participating in contract administration, project meetings, and monthly reporting activities.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 10 years work experience in project Cost & Planning and delay analysis partnered with a Bachelor degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred).
Additional Requirements:
- Proven experience across various project types.
- Solid understanding of delay analysis methodologies and claim review and preparation.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other planning tools (for review purposes).
