About The Role

Responsible for the controlled operation of Vehicle/Driver dispatching and providing marshalling support at designated vehicle staging areas in support of Qatar Airways Group transportation operations.

Accountabilities Operational

• Provide internal and or external customer service, whether face-to-face, through e-mails, and or over the phone, at a level that either meets or exceeds expectations to support customers.
• Perform regular vehicle inspection and communicate inspection result to 3PL logistics services providers and department management.
• Provide vehicle staging area marshalling/Support.
• Provide a single point of contact for drivers and department management.
• Provide real-time solutions to resolve minor issues that may occur during a shift.
• Frequent communication with department management team regarding fleet and driver status to ensure quality service is provided at all times.
• Communicates all obstacles, poor driver performance, and operational challenges to Shift officer / Lead Transport Officer.
• Ensures accuracy and completion of all data entry procedures and/ or reports that pertain to daily shift dispatch operations.
• Ensure full understanding on contents, processes, and procedures within all Standard Operating Procedures that pertain to the Transportation Operations Section.
• Provide department management with Continuous Improvement initiatives/suggestions whenever possible.
• Asist in providing On-The-Job Training to team new joiners as required by department management.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent with minimum 1 years of job-related experience.
• Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in Business Administration with specialization in Finance, Engineering, or related fields
• Knowledge of principles and practices in Management of services, organizational planning and administration, capital project management and principled and practices of contract management

Essential Job Specific Skills:

• Previous job roles as Bus Dispatcher, or Taxi Dispatcher, Limo Dispatcher.
• Knowledge with Urban Bus and or Urban Taxi Dispatching Models.
• Excellent computer skills and good interpersonal skills
• Proficient in both written and spoken English language.
• Previous work experience including either Automated Fleet and or Transportation Management Systems.
• Previous work experience with passenger Transportation Support Services/Business.

Preferred

• Previous experience working within the GCC.
• Previous experience working within the aviation industry.
• Previous experience working with fleets of over 100 vehicles.
• Knowledge of roads and routes within Doha.
• Arabic written and spoken language.
