About the job

About The Role You will be responsible for developing training materials and facilitating group training and instructional program covering Altea check-in systems for check-in boarding gate functions and baggage policies and procedures from Ground Services Manual to Ground Handling Agents and Qatar Airways personnel at the airport. You will also be responsible to ensure that people are equipped with required knowledge, behavior and skills to support the business in achieving its objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop training materials based on best practices and Group Learning and Development methodology and integrate technology based learning to cater to the needs of the business.
  • Facilitate training programmes to a world class standard, using adult learning and learner focused techniques to create a healthy learning environment.
  • Utilize coaching techniques to improve employee performance.
  • Support Management in developing skills to ensure employees mature and adapt in an ever-changing business environment.
  • Evaluate, revise, amend and update training programs based on revisions from Ground Services Manuals to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment on a regular basis.
  • Implement effective and efficient learning interventions by aligning to the 70:20:10 principles to make the programmes more business relevant.
  • Immerse into business to understand new processes, provide feedback and recommendations to the business leaders.
  • Monitor training records and ensure that all records have been registered in the Learning Management system and is up to date.
  • Deliver “Train the Trainer” program for Altea Customer Management to facilitate local training to the Ground Handling and Qatar Airways employees across the network.
  • Create flights for Altea Customer Management for trained trainers to facilitate the training programs that will help stations handle flights confidently.
  • Support Management in developing skills to ensure employees adapt to a dynamic business environment.
  • Assist in the Qatar Nationalisation project to train and develop employees according to the company standards.
  • Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications About You

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4 years of job-related experience
  • Training delivery methodologies
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Sound knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Coaching skills is a plus
