The Opportunity

The candidate will be responsible for LongTerm Service Agreement Project Management activities on complex projectstypically involving Siemens Aero-derivative gas turbines and turbo compressors.The candidate will preferably have Siemens Project Management experience at andAdvanced – Expert level.

Manage Customer Requirements:

  • Actively gathers information on thecustomer and customer’s strategies and manages requirements and targets
  • Manages customer expectations
  • Actively communicates with customer’ssenior representatives and manages solving of issues
  • Regularly performs lessons learnedactivities and feeds the results into own project and organization
  • At an early stage, informs customer,management and project team of deviations from project plan
  • Actively builds relationships to customerrepresentatives.
  • Develop strategies for the project andbeyond.
  • Acts as advisor for his line/seniormanagement.
  • Develops and considers strategic targetsfor own project in alignment with business strategy and stipulates a projecttarget agreement with the responsible business manager.
  • Represents the project in the relevantdecision boards internally and externally to senior management.
  • Identifies / creates additionalopportunities out of the ongoing projects.

Manage project finances:

  • Lives full responsibility for thefinancial results according to set targets.
  • Examines the project proposal/order entrycosting.
  • Ensures regular financial controlling andreporting according to regulations.
  • Optimizes the project gross profit, cashflow and project related assets and minimizes non-conformance costs.
  • Ensures that the results of riskassessments are appropriately reflected in project calculation.
  • Fosters change orders with good margincontribution.

Manage project team:

  • Agrees targets with project staff and delegates defined work packages.
  • Holds and seeks active feedback ( members, managers, customers)
  • Takes responsibility for own and supports team-members’ work life balance.
  • Supports team-members’ personal development (eg. PMP-process)
  • Involves the project team in all relevant project issues.
  • Demonstrates leadership to functionally assigned intercultural staff, agrees targets and delegates accordingly.
  • Cooperates closely with line managers and experts.
  • Facilitates and monitors effective team collaboration (e.g. via coaching)
  • Fosters ownership culture within the project team.
