A Supermarket group in Qatar is looking for an experienced Financial Controller for a Supermarket Outlet. Responsible for maintaining all standards, policies, and procedures. To ensure success as a financial controller, you should possess extensive knowledge of accounting principles and experience in a similar role. To compile, track and advise on the performance and financial KPIs of the. To assist in the delivery of identified ad-hoc projects and reports.

Responsibilities

• Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting, etc.)
• Provide analysis and commentary on financial results and implications and advises on corrective action to be taken
• Interact with the business on financial outcomes and expense trends
• Analyze and report on variances
• Generate management reports and financial information to manage costs efficiently
• A minor level of financial control and reporting: financial reconciliations, month-end reporting, budgeting
• Risk Management Reporting
• Ad hoc data analytics and reporting
• Identify opportunities to enhance management reporting and ensure/advise corrective action
• Work collaboratively with the Systems Manager to automate management reporting and create predictive analytical insights and scenario planning to drive cost efficiency culture
• Initiate and coordinate projects with other teams focusing on cost management and improving efficiencies
• Develop and execute standardized models, templates, and processes for planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Requirements And Skills

• Accounting degree (essential)
• Requires CA, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, CPA USA qualification or related qualification
• Financial and Management Reporting, 3 to 5 years of related experience in a retail environment.
• Operational reporting (especially cost management) is preferential
• Previous experience preferably in large entities
• SAP, financial reporting
• Google sheet, MS Excel
• Finance (Accounting)
• Competencies required: Results-oriented, Cooperation, Commercial Drive, Service-oriented, Analysing and forming opinions, Innovating
• Preferred nationalities Jordanian, Algerian, Tunisian, Moroccan plus Kenyan or Ugandan, South African
