Job Purpose:

We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Banquet Manager to join our team and support the successful execution of all banquet operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Banquet Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet events
  • Supervise banquet staff, ensuring high service standards are met at all times
  • Manage the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring accuracy with function sheets
  • Liaise with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor inventory of banquet supplies and place orders as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally
  • Assist with training and development of banquet team members
  • Maintain proper records and assist in administrative tasks including scheduling and billing

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in banquet operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Knowledge of banquet software (e.g., Opera, or similar) is an advantage
