About The Role
Qatar Aviation Services is looking for experience National to join their Cargo team as Hub Operations Manager based in Doha, Qatar.
The role will be responsible for supporting the Cargo Management through the 24/7 operational management and coordination across the Cargo Campus on a rotating shift basis. Lead, steer and manage the shift for all departments (Airside, Terminal and Landside) in compliance with safety and security standards, ensuring continuous business excellence across the hub operations to achieve world leading air cargo practices.
Operational Accountabilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations across the Cargo Campus through efficient safe and secure utilization of facilities, equipment and manpower to achieve maximum throughput of air cargo products.
- Lead the operations team to ensure service levels and customer expectations are met for continuous improvement and continuity.
- Ensure compliance all operational activities in line with policies and procedures, including but not limited to; Health & Safety, Security and Environment to uphold operational and international best practices.
- Manage the HOC (Hub Operations Controls) team ensuring Airside, Terminal and Landside Operations are at the agreed performance standards throughout the shift with constant monitoring of KPIs and Service Levels.
- Proactively identify, assess, and escalate potential service failures, irregularities, or challenges to the Cargo management team, ensuring timely resolution and the implementation of sustainable solutions to prevent operational disruptions
- Ensure stock and inventory levels of key operational items are maintained (ULDs, pallets, ramp carts and other relevant equipment) and initiate recovery plans.
- Lead and execute specific operational projects targeted at improving safety, optimizing equipment and resources and reducing cargo-handling costs.
- Act as the main point of contact for all facility management issues during the shift-ensuring preventative and corrective maintenance is carried out in a planned manner.
- Contribute ground handling expertise and industry best practices for all ongoing and future cargo related projects.

Qualifications
About you:
- An ideal candidate will have a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of job-related experience.
- Operational experience in managing a mid-large Cargo operation.
- Experience managing a mid-large multi-cultural workforce.
- Excellent in both spoken and written English.
- Must possess a strong, decisive and collaborative leadership style.
- Excellent listening, perceiving and understanding skills, in order to facilitate all project related requirements.
- A change agent, results oriented who can deliver innovative execution at pace.
- Proven ability to work under pressure to defined tight timescales and budget.
- Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
Preferred
- Airline and / or Ground Handling Management related courses.
- IATA Courses.
- Proven ability to demonstrate flexibility in meeting the demands of the business unit to which he/she is assigned.
- Proven ability for solution-oriented, effective communication with internal departments.
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
