About The Role

You will be responsible for catering budget preparation and monitoring of catering variable and semi variable cost against budget. You will establish catering market strategic review in cooperation with Culinary and Procurement departments as well as oversee and optimize all catering variable costs by developing robust procurement and contract management arrangements to comply with internal and external requirements. You will also be responsible for managing strategic planning and execution of catering services to ensure profitability, efficiency, and high customer satisfaction in line with financial and operational goals in compliance with QR mission and vision.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance catering services’ market position and achieve synergy and cost efficiency. This involves setting clear goals, creating action plans, and monitoring progress.
  • Manage multiple procurement projects, prioritised according to company’s strategic, financial and operational requirements.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring that catering services operate within budget and meet cost targets. This includes analysing financial reports and identifying areas for cost optimization.
  • Leverage technology and innovative solutions to improve service efficiency, customer experience, and operational processes. Stay informed about industry advancements and integrate relevant technologies into the business.
  • Ensure successful planning, execution and delivery of catering services aiming high-quality, cost-effective catering solutions while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality products.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns promptly and effectively. Gather and analyze customer and flights data
  • Monitor operational costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality. This includes managing labour costs, reducing waste, and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Nurture the team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. This includes setting performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and supporting professional development.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Mathematics, or Finance with at least 10 years of job-related experience in Procurement, Finance or Contracts Management
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management to ensure the financial health of the catering operations.
  • Strong organizational skills to oversee daily operations, streamline processes, and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Ability to conduct market research, identify business opportunities, and develop strategies to expand services and enter new markets.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify cost improvement as well as skills in planning and coordinating catering procurement activities
  • Strong negotiation skills for managing supplier contracts, client agreements, and other business transactions.
  • Change management champion with the ability to drive transformation
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong presentation and influencing capabilities
  • Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment
