We are currently seeking a Principal Offshore Structural Engineer, reporting directly to HoD – Structural to join our Offshore Structures team based in Doha, Qatar.

About the opportunity we offer:

Job Purpose:

• Provide technical and project execution services
• Establish the highest standard of technical knowhow
• Basic and detailed engineering of offshore structural, both Brownfield and Greenfield.
• Reviewing staff capability, identifying training needs of employees

Main Accountabilities:

• Proficiency in performing analyses, design and checking of drawing
• Design of fixed offshore platforms (Jacket, Deck , FPSO)
• Extensive Brownfield experience
• Life extension studies
• Re assessment of old platforms
• Miscellaneous brown field design works
• Miscellaneous structural design of Pipe Supports, Equipment Supports, CTS, etc.
• Removal, replacement, installation sequences
• Equipment changeouts
• Jack-up tie-ins to Platforms
• Transportation, lift, on bottom stability, pile drivability
• In place fatigue analysis (Deterministic and Spectral)
• Geotechnical design of mudmats, piles and conductors
• Pile drivability analysis
• Pushover analysis (SACS & USFOS)
• Boat landing
• Protector Structure
• Risers, Caissons, J-tubes
• Connections, Pad eye etc.,
• Site survey and report
• Develop Design Basis, Design Brief and Calculation Reports

About you:

We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:

Must Have:

• Minimum of twenty years’ experience in design of offshore structures/platforms
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural engineering discipline
• Minimum of Ten years’ experience as Principal / Lead Structural Engineer
• Minimum of Ten years’ experience in Brownfield structural engineering
• Hands on experience on SACS
• Experience in the Gulf region
• Experience in Leading teams
• International codes and standards – API RP 2A, AISC, DNV, ISO
• Fluent in English Language

Nice to Have:

• Post Graduation in Offshore Engineering / Ocean Engineering
• Experience in GRLWEP
• Experience in FEA with ANSYS or ABAQUS
• Experience in USFOS
• Experience in Wind Energy projects
