We are seeking an enthusiastic and goal-oriented Events Sales Manager to join our dynamic team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Doha, Qatar. As the Events Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth through the successful planning, selling, and execution of events at our prestigious venue. This position requires a passionate professional who can build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring exceptional event experiences.

  • Proactively identify and pursue new event sales opportunities in the corporate and social markets
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize event revenues
  • Conduct site visits and property tours for potential clients, showcasing our venue’s unique features and capabilities
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve optimal profitability while meeting client needs
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., catering, operations, marketing) to ensure seamless event execution
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts in our sales management system
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and pricing decisions
  • Attend industry events and networking functions to build relationships and generate leads
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly and professionally
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets consistently

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event sales, preferably within luxury hotels or high-end venues
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the events industry
  • Strong understanding of event planning, execution, and industry best practices
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to structure win-win deals
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with event management software (e.g., Opera Cloud OSEM)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the local Doha market and event industry trends
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus
