Parsons is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Materials Inspector to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising construction activities on-site, ensuring that works are carried out in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supervising and monitoring construction activities to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely execution of works and adherence to project schedules.
- Conducting daily site inspections and reporting on progress, workmanship, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Identifying and reporting any non-conformance to the Resident Engineer or QA/QC team, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Reviewing method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Preparing and maintaining detailed site inspection records, reports, and daily logs.
- Liaising with the project team, consultants, and client representatives to ensure clear communication and resolution of site-related issues.
- Supporting testing and commissioning activities as required during the project close-out phase.
- Ensuring that health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are strictly followed on site.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution, subject to approval by the Engineer.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction supervision, with a strong background in infrastructure and civil works.
- Proven experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, utilities, and other public works.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, inspection procedures, and material quality control.
- Strong knowledge of local and international construction codes and standards.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Proficiency in using standard inspection tools, reporting systems, and computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
