We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive the growth of our industrial and marine business in Qatar. You will lead sales efforts, expand our customer base, and promote our solutions to strengthen PALFINGER’s market presence in the region.

Your Task And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies in coordination with Sales Management and Operations to meet organizational goals.
  • Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets in alignment with Operations and Sales leadership.
  • Assist in budgeting, expense control, and monitoring.
  • Drive sales activities and promote Palfinger industrial services within the assigned region.
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations, and propose marketing campaigns aligned with group guidelines.
  • Address all incoming sales inquiries via email, calls, or other channels.
  • Gather and analyze market data on pricing, competitors, and customer trends.
  • Recommend pricing strategies based on costs, supply/demand, and competitor positioning, in coordination with Local Operations.
  • Coordinate regularly with Qatar and Local Operations to align on business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support achievement of sales objectives.
  • Inspire and support end customers and service partners with expert product knowledge.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, demos, and industry events professionally.
  • Identify reasons for lost sales and recommend improvements in customer retention.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders in Qatar, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.
  • Stay updated through workshops, publications, networking, and industry events.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the GCC, with a background in marine,offshore, oil & gas, or industrial services is a plus.
  • Experience in Rope Access business.
  • Valid Qatar driver’s license
  • Knowledge of tendering processes, contract negotiation, and pricing strategies.
  • Leadership & people management
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building ability.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
  • Good analytical and reporting skills (e.g., forecasting, budgeting).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

Your Responsibilities

  • Install service body on truck chassis utilizing a pre-defined set of work instructions.
  • Install power take off and hydraulic pump.
  • Install service crane onto service body.
  • Perform 12v electrical wiring to connect crane to chassis body builder interface.
  • Install and wire all required work and safety lighting, as well as all accessories required by end user.
  • Perform functional testing of the crane and all installed accessories.
  • Perform final stability testing of the crane.

Your Qualifications

  • Strong, mid-level proficiency in mechanical assembly and electrical wiring. Prior experience working on heavy equipment, farm equipment, or car/truck mechanic experience is preferred.
  • Must be physically able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 75lbs+ for extended periods of time.
  • 2-5 years’ experience as a mechanic.
  • Must speak, read and write English.
  • Must supply own tools.
  • Must be available to work overtime including weekends.
