Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale ISP & MPLS routers migrations across the network.
• Conduct impact assessments and develop migration methodologies that minimize downtime and risk.
• Serve as a technical authority during maintenance windows and lead troubleshooting during complex cutovers.
• Collaborate with vendors, planning, architecture, and NOC teams to coordinate migrations and platform cutovers
• Execute configuration migration, interface mapping, and service validation across L2/L3 VPN services.
• Support and maintain documentation, including inventory updates, MOPs, and topology diagrams.
• Plan and implement network upgrades to accommodate traffic growth.
• Perform risk assessments, impact analysis, and develop migration plans and rollback procedures.
• Monitor network health using NMS tools and respond promptly to any incidents or disruptions.
•Troubleshoot network incidents related to legacy hardware and during transitional phases.
•Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and peers.
•Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) reviews and post-migration evaluations.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in IP/MPLS network engineering within a service provider or ISP environment.
• Proven experience leading complex migration efforts.
Deep understanding of:
• Routing protocols: OSPF, IS-IS, BGP
• MPLS technologies: LDP, RSVP-TE, Segment Routing (SR-MPLS a plus)
• VPN services: L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLSStrong hands-on expertise with routers from vendors such as Huawei, Cisco, Juniper & Nokia.
• Proficiency in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, NAPALM, Netconf/YANG).
• Familiarity with IP addressing strategies, service migration workflows, and traffic engineering.
• Certifications: CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or HCIP/HCIE.

• Clear communicator, capable of working in cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency in migrations.
• Comfortable working in high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios.
