Job Purpose:
We’re looking for a dedicated Commis Chef with expertise in Indian Tandoor to join our dynamic culinary team!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Tandoori dishes (including kebabs, breads, and meats)
- Maintain proper Tandoor oven operation, cleanliness, and temperature
- Follow hygiene and safety standards strictly
- Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Ensure quality control and consistency in every dish served
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in Indian Tandoor cooking
- Basic knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, and traditional recipes
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Culinary certification is a plus, but not mandatory
