Parsons is looking for an experienced Senior Works Inspector (Roads) to join our team! In this role, you will oversee and inspect daily site operations related to road construction, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct thorough inspections of road construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.
- Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
- Coordinate with the construction teams to ensure smooth execution of road works, such as grading, paving, drainage systems, and signage.
- Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with road works.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for road works.
- Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that road components meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in road construction inspection, with at least 5 years in a senior inspection role for large-scale infrastructure projects such as highways, urban roads, and interchanges.
- Strong understanding of road construction standards, codes, and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office and inspection reporting software.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
