About The Role

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Licensed Aircraft Technician who is responsible for the delivery aircraft maintenance activities to directly support flight operations maintenance checks and duties within their authority as a Licensed Aircraft Technician. Responsible and shall perform all work in accordance with approved technical data, QR standards and procedures to the highest standard, best practice and safety to meet the operational requirements as set by the department. Provide specialized knowledge, skills and expertise as required ensuring safe, effective and efficient operation.

Operational

• Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, operate equipment or use tooling relative to assigned tasks within framework of Qatar Airways procedures.
• Review of work procedures and standards propose improvements where procedures are not appropriate to ensure work processes are effective.
• Ensure tasks are performed to company standards and targets such as dispatch reliability and level of acceptable deferred defects.
• Ensure delivery standards of OR products are met.
• Provide satisfactory support to internal and external customers.
• Aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements of QR and the staff are maintained at all times

Qualifications And Experience

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience

Essential

• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Trade / Vocational Aircraft Maintenance qualification OR Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in Aircraft Engineering.
• Holds ICAO or QCAA License company authorization (QCAA Al .1 company authorization).
• Valid License/Approval + Aircraft Maintenance experience.
• Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
• Knowledge of productivity management and Air Legislation.
• Ability to perform most tasks and duties independently typical to area of specialty.
