About The Role
Qatar Airways is pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join the Crew Resources team as a Crew Rostering Specialist to be based in Doha, Qatar.
As a Crew Rostering Specialist, you will be responsible for analysis and production of legal, optimised rosters for flight deck/cabin crew, achieved by expert knowledge and use of specialised optimisation systems. You will be also responsible for ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and efficient utilisation of resources within the targets set by Crew Planning & Rostering whilst balancing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as cost, productivity, fatigue risk, operational robustness and crew satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include
- Ensure QCAA regulations and requirements, company policies and procedures are compiled with during planning and production of crew rosters.
- Document all procedures and ensure department policy and procedures manuals and checklist are accurate and complete.
- Conduct detailed analysis of various roster “what if” scenario, which may include, but not limited to productivity, roster quality and stability, legality, manpower, etc.
- Analyse information and statistics to provide advice on roster impact and provide recommendation to improve roster quality to Manager Crew Planning & Rostering.
- Create various roster scenarios in order to determine “best” solution within the given parameters for the current and future roster planning period.
- Ensure required stand-by blocks provided by the Resource plan are constructed within the resource targets to achieve optimum coverage for each crew workgroup (using feedback from Crewing team).
- Monitor and report on crew bid satisfaction and other roster-related statistics to Senior Management which serves and important aid in enhancing system or quality rosters.
- Conduct periodical checks of rules and parameters within Carmen Crew Rostering (CCR) and other relevant systems and get the system error rectified.
- Ensure new implementations and information is communicated to team in a timely manner for effective utilization of the system.

About You
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Relevant College or University qualification with a minimum of 5 years job-related experience.
- Experience of relevant work experience in Crew Resources related role.
- Experience in analytics.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Flight Time Limitations).
- Knowledge of Crew Resources and optimisation systems.
- Understanding of Crew resource planning processes, theories and methodologies.
- Excellent and demonstrable report writing and presentation skills.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
