What You Will Do

The Project Manager – HVAC, ESCO & IREF Systems is a vital role reporting directly to the Director – Install Operations or Operations Manager. Based in Dubai, you will join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in driving business growth for HVAC, ESCO & Industrial Refrigeration Systems.

You will oversee the project management team in the design and execution of projects. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned engineering projects, ensuring adherence to QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications. You will interact daily with clients to understand their needs and requirements, advocating for them in the field.

How You Will Do It

As a seasoned Project Manager, you will possess substantial expertise in project execution and a comprehensive understanding of HVAC solution design, including Chillers, AHU, FCUs, Industrial Refrigeration, and Energy solutions within the Middle East region. You will be required to:

  • Initiate and address contractual issues throughout the contract and project phases.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare progress reports, and represent the company in client project, quality, and HSE meetings.
  • Manage formal (letter) and informal (verbal) communications with clients and oversee invoicing processes and collection of payments.
  • Prepare and submit technical submittals to clients, ensuring the production and issuance of design drawings/calculations.
  • Develop, implement, and comply with the project quality plan and inspection & test plans, ensuring full adherence to specifications and client requirements.
  • Take full responsibility for project cost management, preparing and submitting monthly cost reports for senior management review.
  • Initiate change processes to manage contractual variations and ensure project completion and final payment.
  • Guarantee that key milestone dates are met; if delays arise, develop plans to realign the project timeline.
  • Manage all allocated staff and resources effectively to complete projects on time while respecting budget constraints.
  • Foster development and training for allocated staff.
  • Ensure familiarity with company and client QHSE policies/procedures, ensuring operatives understand and implement them in their areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC and HSE managers on all aspects of Quality and HSE.
  • Prepare and submit project completion feedback reports to the sales department.
  • Monitor the progress of subcontracted work, ensuring all applicable QHSE documents are available at the point of use, particularly project-specific QHSE documents on-site.
  • Ensure complete archiving of project data/records post-completion and forward them to the IS department for efficient archiving.
  • Address non-conformities in materials/products according to management system procedures, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure necessary inspections and tests are performed, maintaining inspection & test records prior to product handover to customers.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a reputable university.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of project engineering experience executing HVAC/ESCO/Industrial Refrigeration systems.
  • Recent leadership experience in the GCC region.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking capability.
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation, labor management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost-effective solutions.
  • Proven capability to produce high-quality, impactful professional documents for both clients and internal use.
  • Fluency in English is essential, along with excellent email etiquette.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
