About The Role

In this role, you will identify and develop In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) products and systems by leveraging new and emerging technologies. You will be responsible for managing the integration of digital solutions, applications, games, and other interactive elements within the airline ecosystem, from concept to deployment. It ensures seamless integration across various IFEC systems and effective coordination among stakeholders. Positioned at the intersection of technology and passenger experience, this role drives innovation in delivering personalized IFEC experiences.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

• Drive the development of new applications, games, and digital services aligned with passenger needs and market trends to enhance user experience
• Develop the IFEC systems software plan, product strategy, product definition, roadmap and lifecycle for all new and emerging IFEC platforms and applications across all fleets.
• Identify and evaluate emerging IFEC technologies, platforms, and solutions to enhance the In-flight digital entertainment offerings
• Represent Qatar Airways in interfacing with existing and potential suppliers, to keep fully abreast of all key product and technology developments in the IFEC Market and make recommendations for product improvements to keep Qatar Airways at the forefront of IFEC technology.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all IFEC suppliers to ensure they deliver the best quality products for Qatar Airways and pro-actively engage with emerging technologies and suppliers in order to identify and recommend those which might be applicable to IFEC.
• Oversee the integration of new digital applications and services into the existing IFEC infrastructure to optimize system performance Manage technical dependencies between different IFEC components and backend IT systems to ensure seamless functionality

About You

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of job-related experience
• Technical knowledge and experience of all aspects of Digital applications and network management
• Preferably with 5 years IFEC systems experience with an airline or communications
• Knowledge of digital applications, streaming and e-commerce platform integrations
• Experience in Data analytics and CMS portal management
• Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation, presentation and influencing capabilities
• Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment
