Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced Legal Advisor to join our Corporate Remedial Department. The ideal candidate should possess vast experience in handling litigation cases related to remedial accounts and demonstrate exceptional expertise in drafting settlement agreements. This role requires a deep understanding of LMA (Loan Market Association) Documents and the ability to customize settlement agreements to meet the bank’s specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate Settlement Agreements.
• Possess a deep understanding of bank standard charge documents and Loan Market Association (LMA) Documents.
• Liaise with all stakeholders involved in litigation matters related to distressed asset portfolios, including but not limited to external legal firms, vendors, internal legal departments, and public prosecution offices.
• Represent the Corporate Remediation Department at the Public Prosecution Office and attend court hearings as required.
• Develop legal strategies to encourage uncooperative clients to reach amicable debt resolutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in law is required. A master’s degree in law or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven track record in handling litigation cases related to remedial accounts.
• Extensive experience in reviewing and negotiating settlement agreements.
