Role Objective
The Account Services Officer will assist in processing of customer requests in opening/amendments of various types of accounts offered by the bank, in accordance with bank and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent will be responsible for checking the correctness of the requests, monitoring of customer details as per the AML initiatives, and will act as the custodian of all supporting documents/ records to comply with audit/ procedural standards.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform all operational activities as assigned by the Account Service Manager/Senior Account Services Officer in compliance with local regulations, Doha Bank’s policies and approved Centralized Processing policies and procedures.
- Receive and check the duly filled customer application form from branches/DSAs for correctness of details.
- Log the customer details in the respective account opening register, used to record information on accounts forwarded by the Direct Sales Agents/ branches, as applicable.
- Verify and scan the customer signature present on the signature card to the online systems for reference/record purpose, and initial on the relevant signature card specifying completion.
- Review the Account Opening Agreement for ascertaining customer request for e-channel access, if any and liaise with the Senior Officer and/or Account Services Manager for verification and approval of the same, respectively.
- Enter customer details in the respective online systems for generation of sequential reference number and send to the to the verification/approval queue, as applicable.
- Ascertain customer eligibility from details mentioned in core banking system, in line with the approved policies and procedures.
Qualification and Experience Required:
- University graduate with a degree in Business or Banking or Finance or any other related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Management any other related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience in centralized accounts processing in banking industry.
Certifications:
- QFSQF Level 2
