As a Catering & Events Manager, your role involves achieving the Catering & Events Budget for the hotel. You will oversee the daily sales efforts of the Catering & Events Department, ensuring effective communication flow within the hotel for all booked events.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor Catering & Events production through weekly, monthly, and yearly reports submitted to the Property Head of Sales.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key bookers to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business to the property.
  • Maintain close communication with the Sales team to collaborate effectively on leads and foster guest loyalty to the company.
  • Evaluate team performance and ensure adherence to the company standards.
  • Develop Catering & Events selling strategies and promotions in coordination with the Head of Revenue and Sales & Marketing.
  • Ensure clear communication to colleagues in the Catering & Events and Sales departments.
  • Prepare the annual budget for the Catering & Events Department, considering market conditions, historical data, and future outlook.
  • Conduct continuous checks to maintain high standards of meeting rooms and related equipment. Report any issues to the Head of Food & Beverage or Executive Chef promptly.
  • Maintain daily communication and information flow by distributing Banquet Event Orders to all departments, conducting daily briefings for your team, and coordinating with Food & Beverage Operations and the Kitchen Department.
  • Handle incoming requests collaboratively with the concerned Salesperson, ensuring adherence to company Standards and active follow-up on sent offers.
  • Ensure the team actively seeks guest feedback during and after events, encouraging guests to submit the Guest Satisfaction Survey.
  • Maintain detailed product knowledge of your property and general knowledge of major hotels and direct competitors in the city. Conduct quarterly checks on product knowledge among team members.
  • Forward any irregularities encountered in your department or others within your area to the Property Head of Sales.
  • Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Adhere to the company’s environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
