About The Role

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as Senior Manager Compliance.

Responsible to the Vice President Compliance & Safety and Maintenance Training for the implementation and enhancement of the compliance framework to ensure the quality assurance section and organization meet and maintain all required compliance requirements.

Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include

• Develop applicable quality and safety processes and procedures within areas of assigned responsibility.
• Establish and manage a safety management system as required.
• Ensure an adequate independent quality audit system is developed, managed and maintained to company and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and manage implementation of appropriate control measures / key performance indicators related to safety and compliance.
• Manage, develop and maintain the competency and standards of reporting personnel.
• Review applicable regulatory updates and amendments for safety and compliance, ensuring any required organizational changes are communicated effectively to all required stakeholders and required actions are implemented in a timely manner.
• Approval of documentation such as but not limited to procedures and authorizations as delegated by the VP Compliance & Safety and Maintenance Training.
• Ensure the organization operates within the limitations of its approval ratings, capabilities and privileges.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Aeronautical Engineering
• ICAO Type II License
• Training on QCAA/EASA regulations
• Training on auditing techniques
• Received training on at least 2 aircrafts types operated by Qatar Airways

Previous Experience

• 10 years’ experience in Continuing Airworthiness / Maintenance organization environment / Civil Aviation Authority / Quality Assurance Functions.
• At least 5 years as an internal /certified auditor.
• Quality assurance management role(s) for Part M, 145 & 147 approved organizations
• Safety, airworthiness and compliance processes and methodologies
• Quality and safety management systems
• Experience as Maintenance Inspector.
• Previous nominated post holder.
• Knowledge and experience in leading and managing change.
