As a Siebel Open UI Specialist, you are expected to assess, design and develop applications related to Open UI CRM, Enterprise CRM and Mass Market sales applications, as part of the product development team of Vodafone Qatar technology department.
You are expected to lead other developers/vendors working in the team and ensure timely delivery for assigned business and technology projects.
You will be reporting to the CRM & Sales Domain Manager and would require working closely with other developers to deliver the assigned projects.
Responsibilities
- Assess, design, and implement new products & services through different Releases on Oracle Siebel Open UI, Mass Market & EBU CRM to ensure reaching the required business needs.
- Lead and handle the development team resources (Vodafone or third-party resources) in the Agile project, to ensure the delivery is on time and of high quality, as aligned with domain manager.
- Supervise and assign PBIs to the team and its progress.
- Lead the requirement assessment of Open UI impacts for usual business projects.
- Ensure the Siebel Open UI team adheres to the industry best practices and design guidance provided by domain manager.
- Prepare all the needed RFCs and Change requests for Service Management according to the SLA.
- Closely work with Scrum master and product manager of the agile team for sprint and deployment planning
- Train the new resources in the team on the existing technical framework and functionalities.
- Support test teams, and business product managers throughout testing phases of the releases.
- Support deployment including writing deployment guides, raising RFCs.
- Collaborate with the rest of the team to design & implement capability enhancements.
- Report & highlight to CRM Domain manager any risks or issues in design and build.
- Support operations team in analysing issues reported in live environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent with software development experience
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in product & solution development in a Telco or at a technology vendor with a telecommunication focus.
- Either completed Siebel Open UI Foundation Course
- Knowledge of the Siebel Open UI user interface and architecture, plus the concept of the Open UI “manifest” and how to administer it.
- Understanding of presentation models and how to apply client-side logic.
- Knowledge of physical renderers (how to change the way the data is presented to the users) as well as Siebel mobile interface in both connected and disconnected modes.
- Ability to administer Siebel Open UI customizations, including themes, cascading style sheets and Open UI desktop applications.
- The skills to debug as needed.
- Administer customizations and implement application-wide customizations.
- Ability to write code to use the Siebel Open UI JSAPI to implement common form and list applet customizations.
- Preferably completed Siebel Open UI Advanced JavaScript API Course
