Job Specific Skills

• Conversant with all aspects of safety with high voltage installations.
• IR Thermography: Shall have certification in Thermography Level-1 by an accredited institute.
• Shall have certification and undergone required training for their respective fields.
• Shall be aware of all safety aspects and risks.
• Shall have sound knowledge of various types of PD detecting methods as required by the contract.
• Should have Knowledge of Testing data analysis, identify abnormalities, and give recommendation on basis of results.

Job Purpose

• Online/Offline Condition Monitoring of Electrical Distribution assets.
• Should perform IR thermography and Partial Discharge of Transformer, switchgear, RMU, feeder pillars, Package units etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Partial Discharge /Infrared Thermography measurements at site and use his experience and skills to effectively detect the abnormalities and evaluate severity/asset condition.
• Supervision of the site crew and ensure that work is carried out as per approved method statement.
• In case of abnormalities in results, prepare urgent reports to Team Leader.
• Ensure prevention of damage to plant & equipment of KM occasioned by Contractor’s work.
• Carry out all the required measurements at site and use his experience and skills to effectively detect the abnormalities and evaluate severity/asset condition.
• Understanding and applying the project Plan in the execution of the work.
• Conduct site progress inspections accordingly reports to be submitted on the defined time frame.
• Identifying system conditions that are abnormal, to determining their cause, and to recommend corrective actions.
• Executing work in a manner compliant with the project budget and schedule.

Qualifications, Experience And Skills

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or minimum Three-year Full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, university, or college acceptable to KM.

Experience

• 5 years in electrical transmission and distribution substations.
