The Associate Construction Spec utilizes existing Construction procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Construction and Onshore Construction.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of the construction operations at site to ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings and safety standards
- Conduct regular inspections to identify quality, safety and environmental issues and take necessary actions to rectify them
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to identify, mitigate and resolve any construction-related issues
- Review construction plans, schedules, and budgets while ensuring adherence to set timelines and budget constraints
- Communicate project progress and construction updates to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment on EPCI project sites
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
- Typically, is vocationally qualified with limited work experience
- Work on straightforward tasks using established procedures; work is subject to review by others
- Depends on others for instruction, guidance, and direction
- Knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Familiarity with construction planning, scheduling, and budgeting software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to detect and solve problems quickly
