As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Doha-based Qatar Airways Cargo Customer Experience team as a Lead System Implementation Officer.

In this role, you will be responsible for completion of Project Management and Implementation of cargo system-related features and enhancements as per the business requirements of internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure seamless transition by coordinating with Cargo IT team, external solution providers and key internal business users.

As Part Of Your Daily Responsibilities, You Will Also

  • Be responsible for documentation of the business requirements based on discussions with the end users.
  • Create project plans with timelines based on target date set by the user departments and take lead in project implementation and transition plan with the business.
  • Ensure change management is followed based on project scope and implementations.
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all new project implementation.
  • Prepare user acceptance test plans, test data & test cases ensuring all scenarios are working as expected.
  • Ensure product implementation meets business requirement with reference data migration & system testing.
  • Coordinate regular team briefs for new updates and projects implementations.
  • Provide relevant inputs during the preparation of IT budget for Capex & Opex project.
  • Evaluate and consult QR management on the latest technology available in the market.
  • Constantly monitor test performance and recommend any changes in processes that need to be implemented for easy transition for the business users.
  • Evaluate high-risk issues and concerns and escalate it the Project Heads.

Qualifications

About You

We are looking for a professional with the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
  • Airline system experience
  • Experience in system transition and implementation.
  • Project planning & execution skills.
  • Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Experience working in Product Owner capacities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL web designing is preferred.
