Job Summary:Â As a Hostess at Fairmont Doha, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. You will manage guest reservations, seating arrangements, and ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist guests with reservations, provide accurate wait times, and manage the seating process efficiently.
- Seating Management:
- Coordinate seating arrangements based on guest preferences, restaurant capacity, and reservation schedules.
- Ensure guests are seated promptly and that tables are prepared and ready for their arrival.
- Reservation Handling:
- Manage and update the reservation system, including phone, online, and walk-in bookings.
- Handle special requests, such as seating preferences and dietary restrictions, ensuring all guest needs are met.
- Customer Service:
- Provide information about the restaurant, menu options, and special promotions to guests.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Operational Support:
- Assist with daily operational tasks, including maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Guest Experience Enhancement:
- Engage with guests to gather feedback and relay any relevant information to management.
- Monitor guest flow and adjust seating plans as needed to optimize the dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food & beverage industry is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills are an advantage.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
