Work schedule: 6 days per week, 10 hours per day
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for overseeing Electrical Engineering activities during Onshore Project FEED, ensuring all technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, etc. are in full compliance with project requirements, standardised processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards.
- Provide clear guidance to the FEED contractor, sub-contractors and vendors and facilitate resolution of electrical technical issues to complete electrical engineering activities such as design, procurement and integration with to meet project objectives and milestones.
- Reports to Engineering Manager – FEED Project
- Ensure all technical activities associated with the Project’s electrical engineering discipline by the FEED contractor, and all third parties such as vendors, consultants, sub-contractors, etc, are executed to Project’s specifications and Company requirements with respect to electrical engineering including electrical balances, Licensor integration, power generation and distribution systems.
- Carry-out technical evaluations, including risk-based evaluation of complex engineering issues, resolution of electrical related matters with significant project execution and/or commercial impact to ensure optimum outcomes to meet technical and execution expectations.
- Major challenges for this role include (1) effectively managing FEED to produce timely deliverables, (2) maintaining constructive working relationship with FEED to ensure delivery of engineering work scope in accordance with project requirements, (3) maintaining strong relationship with key stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Kahramaa), and (4) to ensure high quality of electrical engineering deliverables.
- Large scale and high voltage electrical power supply and demand requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 15 years’ experience of Electrical Engineering, preferably in a major LNG Project. Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction and operations.
- Requires demonstrated broad Electrical equipment and systems experience (HV/MV/LV) electrical systems design, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, electrical system controls for reactive and active power sharing, power distribution control, large Motors, 40MW+) and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and relevant industry codes.
- High voltage and large-scale onshore power design requirements.
