Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to manage and direct all aspects of civil engineering for a large PMCM program, including planning, design, construction, compliance, quality control, risk management, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure successful integration of civil works within the overall project.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Project Oversight: Manage the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of civil works including roads, infrastructure, and utilities for construction projects.
- Coordination: Work closely with designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all civil works aligns with overall project goals.
- Compliance: Ensure all civil works comply with local regulations and industry standards.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to guarantee high standards in all civil works.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to civil works and develop mitigation strategies.
- Budget Management: Monitor budgets related to civil components of the project to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Scheduling: Develop detailed schedules for civil work that align with overall project timelines.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on the status of civil works including progress reports on milestones achieved against planned targets as well as financial performance metrics such as budget adherence or cost overruns.
- Scoping for Design Consultants and Design Management: Assist in the preparation of scoping documents for design consultants and manage design-related tasks effectively.
- Design Review and Construction Management Tasks: Participate in design review processes and oversee construction management tasks to ensure seamless execution from planning through completion.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- BS Civil Engineering with 15+ years of experience in civil engineering for infrastructure, utilities, and landscape projects.
- PMCM Experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience within the Qatar/GCC region.
- Civil Engineering Expertise: Proficient in the design and construction of roads, utilities, and other civil works.
- Project Management: Strong ability to manage planning, design, construction, and commissioning of civil works for large-scale construction projects.
- Coordination: Excellent coordination skills to work closely with designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of local regulations and industry standards to ensure all civil works comply.
- Quality Control: Ability to implement quality control measures to maintain high standards in all civil work.
- Risk Management: Skilled in identifying potential risks related to civil works and developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Budget Management: Competence in monitoring budgets related to civil components to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Scheduling: Proficiency in developing detailed schedules that align with overall project timelines.
- Reporting: Capability to provide regular updates on the status of civil work including progress reports on milestones and financial performance metrics such as budget adherence or cost overruns.
