Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP (Mechanical) BIM / Revit Modeler to join our team! In this role you will support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Team(s) in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other team members to develop detailed design plans for mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit 2020 or latest version.
- Create accurate and comprehensive 3D models of following Mechanical systems:
- Chiller Cooling Plant.
- HVAC System, including duct work, AHU and FCU selection, DX system, etc.
- Firefighting System including Sprinkler systems, FM200, foam system, etc.
- Plumbing System.
- Prepare 2D and 3D concept, preliminary, and detailed drawings.
- Interpret 2D drawings, specifications, and other project documents to create 3D BIM models using Revit.
- Ensure the BIM models accurately represent the design intent and comply with industry standards and codes.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and BIM coordinators to resolve design conflicts and coordination issues.
- Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and assist in cost estimation.
- Maintain organized file structures and adhere to company BIM standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software, and industry trends.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-8 years proven experience as a BIM Modeler focusing on mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ACC and other related tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Have basic knowledge of architectural modeling.
- Possess basic skills in creating Revit families.
- Be experienced with BIM collaboration tools like Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
