Parsons is looking to hire an experienced Railway Systems Expert to work on a major local rail project encompassing freight, conventional and high-speed systems.
In this role you will manage all technical activities related to Rail Systems components including Energy, Rolling Stock, Signalling, Telecommunications, SCADA, Trackwork, Depots and Stabling Yards.
The role shall cover: Engineering, Design, Procurement / Manufacturing, Installation, T&C and management of Defect Notification Period.
Willingness to travel and relocate to client, or construction site locations is required. Our staff are expected to be versatile and enthusiastic and able to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Take lead in all tasks assigned by the Rail Systems Director.
- Provide leadership in the resolution of all design and technical issues relating to the railway.
- Assist and produce technical documents related to Rail Systems (design, tender documents, technical memo, etc).
- Prepare presentations for Senior and Executive Management on all technical related matters.
- Provide regular report updates on progress of resolution of all outstanding issues.
- Coordinate with multiple discipline leads for technical matters.
Skill set
- Ability to communicate and report to senior management and effectively liaise with other stakeholders including, contractors, suppliers, engineers and regulatory authorities, in the introduction of new technologies.
- Ability to multitask and effectively problem-solve under high pressure.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline is required.
- Strong track record of managing large rail, projects with a systems background and coordinating with multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
- At least 15 to 20 years of related project experience including involvement in design and installation through to testing and commissioning,
- GCC experience.
