Parsons is looking to hire an experienced CAD/BIM Expert to work on a major local rail project. In this role you will be able to manage and deliver a wide variety of engineering assignments to support the project team in the design and construction of the works.
Willingness to travel and relocate to client, or construction site locations is required. Our staff are expected to be versatile and enthusiastic and able to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD (2019) Revit and Navisworks
- Ability to manage BIM Models, documents and data submittals and capability to extract CAD drawings, and any required information (e.g. spreadsheets with quantities of various design/as-built elements)
- Support the preparation of conceptual designs using 3D or CAD drafting tools
- Manage BIM deliverables, prepare clash-reports and capable to review the coordination and interfaces between the Civil, Architectural, MEP and Systems works
- Provide on-site support in order to validate or collect information to update As-Built CAD drawings/BIM models when required
Skill Set:
- Ability to communicate well in a team environment and act efficiently on instructions
- Has a positive attitude and the initiative to work with minimal supervision and deliver tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certified engineering/architectural degree or diploma from a recognized institution is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in preparation of CAD drafting for Architectural, Civil & MEP and handling BIM models (using Revit, Navisworks, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous experience with CAD/BIM, on large scale infrastructure projects such as railway transportation systems or metros would be preferred
- Knowledge in document management applications such as Aconex or similar
