Job Title: AVEVA AIM Support Engineer

Assignment type: Contract

Work location: Doha, Qatar

Work schedule: Residential, 5 days per week

Estimated Start date: 01-SEP-2024

Estimated End date: 30-SEP-2026 (with possibility to extend)

Accountabilities

  • Ensure proper set up of AVEVA AIM-A solution and roll out (support during the deploy, consult on technical issues and configuration, database structure, working instructions, deliverables extraction)
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain the AVEVA AIM-A system to meet the organization’s requirements.
  • Ensure complex first line product support is provided to Project Team.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Project’s tasks related to AVEVA AIM-A are well managed as per Company standards and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement enhancements to the AVEVA AIM-A system.
  • Ensure all technical interfaces with AVEVA Unified Engineering products are maintained properly.

Activities

During Project Execution-EPCIC Phase

  • Perform routine works on data and documents control, including:
  • Data and document extraction from source AVEVA applications and Document Management System.
  • Data consistency check, validation and conformance with Company standards and requirements.
  • Data transformation and other processing to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Data and documents (including 3D models) uploading to AVEVA Asset AIM-A solution.
  • Data quality and consistency checks (application and documents integrity)
  • Data analyses.
  • Provide support to Project Package team, and consulting, collecting requirements, issues, problems related to the AVEVA AIM-A and propose/implement resolution.
  • Develop new automatization data processing scripts and support existing ones.
  • Ensure all technical interfaces with Document Management System (MANASA) maintained properly.
  • Collaborate with IT department to ensure that system configured properly to meet Company standards.
  • Develop custom scripts and tools using SQL, PowerShell, and Python to automate repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Perform data analysis tasks within the AVEVA AIM-A environment, including data validation, cleansing, manipulation, and visualization.
  • Utilize AVEVA ISM to integrate engineering, design, and manufacturing data across the Project.
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize Project data for decision-making purposes.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular performance tuning to ensure optimal operation.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices for reference and training purposes.
  • Collect requirements from all Company stakeholders about engineering data and address then through the Information Management practices.
  • Provide training to the package team, new commers and knowledge refreshment.
  • Developing reports based on request from Project team as well as other entities.
  • Interface with AVEVA admins on other packages to ensure the consistent information/solution are communicated through all packages.
  • Perform technical audit of the Contractor during execution as per agreed milestones to identify issues/errors and areas for improvement.

During Close out and Handover

  • Perform final review of the deliverables,
  • Conduct final acceptance of deliverables from Contactors.
  • Conduct data merging and preparation actions for final handover.
  • Participate in handover process to E&C and Operation Teams
  • Provide required training for Company End Users.

Qualification

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven 10 years or more knowledge of engineering, design, procurement or construction within a relevant industry (e.g. Oil & Gas, Energy or Marine industries)
  • Proven 3 years or more experience of AVEVA products or similar technologies.
  • Proven experience in AVEVA AIM-A administration, including configuration, deployment, and support.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell programming, with experience developing scripts and tools for automation.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming, with experience developing tables, queries, views and stored procedures for data storing, analyses, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with AVEVA ISM and its integration capabilities.
  • Proficiency in creating dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis techniques and tools.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Language: fluent English,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively (worldwide) to perform project tasks.
