Your Tasks

• Plant project development and implementation:
  • Support as necessary the implementation of projects across the Plant.
  • Participate and coordinate multidiscipline projects with the member in the plant departments.
  • Part of team to conceptualize new process enhancement.
• Process trouble shooting:
  • Support MTBE Petrochemical or Refinery plants trouble shooting with production team.
  • Can lead trouble shooting group once nominated
• Catalyst performance and chemical inventory monitoring :
  • Support to Production for maintaining list of the chemical and catalyst in the plant.
  • Monitor the performance of the chemical usage.
  • Monitor the performance of the catalyst performance; recommend adjustment to operation for process optimization.
  • Participate in the catalyst and chemical evaluation.
  • Monitoring consumptions in SAP and inform to production team for any variations
• Budget coordination:
  • Involve in departmental budget planning
  • Coordinate the budget for the production department,
  • Prepare variance report to the finance based on Production requirement.
• Equipment performance:
  • Conduct process parameters review to monitor the efficiency of critical equipment.
  • Generate periodical equipment performance report with recommendations.
• Plant Modification request:
  • Organize, monitor, and facilitate the plant modification requests meeting.
  • Follow up of the status of Management of Change process.
  • Prepare and evaluation report on completion of the benefits of change.
• Efficiency Improvements:
  • Lead and support Operations and Maintenance personnel in developing action plans for the improvement of Plant equipment.
  • Identify deficiencies and suggest for improvements with recommendations

Your Profile

• B.Sc. degree preferably in Chemical Engineering
• 10 years or above relevant experience preferably in MTBE, Methanol & Utilities or Petrochemical plants like Propylene, PDH- Dehydrogenation, Aromatics or Refinery associated petrochemical complex production environments.
• Experience on unit operations, catalysis and Reaction Kinetics, CCR – Continuous catalyst regenerations , Cryogenic operations with refrigeration systems
• Gas purifications systems – Adsorbents and its regeneration and associated sequence operations
• MOC- Management of Change cycle
• PSM elements and its relevance to process engineering
• APC applications in process plants
• Knowledge of Rotating Machinery like high power compressors and steam turbines and its associated systems
• PHA – HAZOP, What if, SIL etc skills and applications
• Formal training in Project Management is desirable and Systematic decision making processes is required.
• Relevant experience with a large organization preferably in the petrochemicals industry or refinery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in conducting economic evaluations of Plant enhancement projects
• Experience in leading plant modification.
• Experience in Process plants trouble shooting and energy studies.
• Familiarity with ISO management systems.
