OBJECTIVE
Leads the development of strategies to improve Air Cargo operations. Drives continuous improvement on effective cargo revenue management process, identify new cargo markets and expand air freight services in line with global air freight trends and demands. Enhancing the overall cargo sales and ground handling revenue contribution to the airline.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Freight Forwarding sector, with a focus on Air, Sea, and Land logistics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and expand relationships with Airline Cargo General Sales Agents (GSAs).
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximize profitability and market share.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
- Conduct regular business reviews and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and attract new clients.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our services and establish our presence in the market.
- Collaborate with the finance department to manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance metrics.
- Coordinate with the operations team to optimize logistics solutions and ensure timely and efficient cargo transportation.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and business development initiatives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Analyze market data and industry trends to identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices to ensure adherence and mitigate risks.
- Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Skills
JOB REQUIREMENT
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or a related field is preferred
- Expertise in AITA Cargo Handling Procedures and Regulations
- Minimum 6 years work experience in Air Cargo Operations/Ground Handling/Freight and Warehousing of which 2 years is on Supervisory level
- Familiar with fundamentals of Load Control and Ramp Handing
- Experience in risks analysis procedures, airline quality management systems and familiarity with ISO09001 / 2000 procedure
- Strong sales and marketing skills
- Valid Qatar Driving license
- Strong problem-solving skills
- MS Office Proficiency
- Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
- Presentation skills
