As a Curriculum Specialist with Cabin Services, you will coordinate the overall planning, designing, development of course content and assessments for specific subject areas. Coordinate curriculum innovation, design, research, and ensures the development and maintenance of the highest quality courses for Cabin Crew and relevant employees are created. Assist in reviewing externally produced content, resources, and works with vendors to produce content and ensures that company standards are maintained in terms of image, fonts and layout of course content material.
- Research and design of Qatar Airways specific training curriculum for all courses and update the existing content.
- Develop content and assessments that meet company standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to seek out and design innovative work.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on any major Curriculum projects that need to be launched and have learning or training angle affecting the network.
- Review course and content data making recommendations regarding revisions.
- Identify and review quality content providers and externally produced content/ resources.
- Research new and innovative curriculum practices to stay current with curricular trends and standards changes by maintaining professional memberships, attending conferences, and maintaining regular communication with the Cabin Services Department.
- Assess, evaluate and certify training courses conducted both in-house and by external out-sourced trainers.
- Help initiate and support a portfolio wide communication strategy
- All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
About you:
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Relevant High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification/ Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience or relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
- Knowledge of the principles of learning including adult learning, learning styles theory, participatory methods, instructional design, whole systems design and related topics
- Understanding and demonstrated application of cognitive theory of multimedia or similar approaches preferred
- Experience in a multinational training department, exposure in Cabin Services/ Cabin Crew
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- High level of computer literacy
- Experience of demonstrating accountability in managing effective working relationships
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- A high level of ethical standards in a diverse work environment
- Ability to look at situations from several points of view and attention to details
- Ability to foster teamwork among team members
- Broad knowledge of learning methodology
- Proven track record of leading the team without supervision
- Excellent command of English language
