Key Responsibilities:
- Fire Fighting Installation:
- Design, install, and maintain fire fighting systems, including sprinkler networks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of fire fighting equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Pump Installation, Testing, and Commissioning:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire pumps.
- Ensure all pump systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Suppression System Installation and Testing:
- Install, test, and commission various suppression systems such as FM200, NOVEC, pre-action, and aerosol.
- Ensure all suppression systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Certification and Compliance:
- Obtain and maintain QCDD (Qatar Civil Defence Department) certification.
- Ensure all installations and systems comply with UPDA (Urban Planning and Development Authority) regulations.
- Keep abreast of changes in fire safety regulations and standards.
- Project Management:
- Manage fire fighting projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all projects.
- Safety and Training:
- Conduct safety training for staff and clients on fire fighting systems.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in fire fighting system installation, testing, and commissioning.
- QCDD certification.
- UPDA certification.
- Strong knowledge of fire fighting systems, including sprinkler networks, fire pumps, and various suppression systems (FM200, NOVEC, pre-action, aerosol).
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for designing and managing fire fighting systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
