Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Public Relations Officer (PRO) to join our team! In this role, you will manage and respond to public complaints and inquiries related to the project, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and a positive stakeholder experience. You will act as a key interface between the project team and the public, supporting engagement, transparency, and trust.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Receiving, logging, and tracking public complaints and inquiries related to the project.
- Coordinating with internal project teams to investigate issues and obtain relevant information for resolution.
- Preparing responses and communicating outcomes to complainants professionally and promptly.
- Ensuring all interactions and resolutions align with project policies, client requirements, and local regulations.
- Maintaining an organized database of complaints, inquiries, and resolutions for reporting and audit purposes.
- Preparing periodic reports on complaint trends, response times, and resolution effectiveness for management review.
- Supporting public engagement activities and community meetings related to the project, as required.
- Liaising with client representatives and relevant authorities on matters related to public complaints and communications.
- Identifying recurring issues and providing feedback on project management on potential improvements to services or processes.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed and managing priorities with minimal guidance.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- This role is designated for national hire in Qatar.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, customer service, community relations, or a similar role.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Deep understanding of local culture, norms, and stakeholder expectations in Qatar.
- Ability to manage sensitive issues and handle complaints with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or public-sector projects in Qatar.
- Experience engaging with communities, government entities, or public stakeholders on project-related issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with members of the public and project stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complaint data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
