As a Purchasing Officer, you’re not just supporting the procurement and inventory management process – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay memorable for every guest.
Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
- Support purchasing and receiving operations: Assist with procurement, oversee receiving processes, and manage inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure efficient stock management
- Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with outlet managers to ensure purchases meet operational needs and specifications
- Process invoices: Review invoices for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies to ensure timely payment and issue resolution
- Assist with supplier management: Help secure competitive pricing, place orders, and track deliveries to ensure timely arrivals.
- Perform quality checks: Inspect shipments to verify they meet order specifications, grade, and quality standards
- Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise purchasing and receiving clerks, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
