About the job

About the role

As the Corporate Development Manager, your job purpose will be to serve as a high-calibre professional within the Group Strategy & Investments function, providing analytical, strategic, and executional support across both the Strategy and Investments verticals. The role operates as a cross-functional problem-solver — supporting the two vertical leads in delivering the department’s core workstreams, from corporate strategy formulation and strategic planning through to investment analysis, transaction support, and portfolio monitoring. The position demands consulting-grade rigour, strong financial acumen, and the ability to operate effectively across ambiguous and fast-moving workstreams with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities Group Strategy

  • Support the development, refinement, and coordination of Qatar Airways Group’s corporate strategy, including strategic planning cycles, OKRs, KPIs, and executive reporting.
  • Conduct structured analyses on industry dynamics, competitive positioning, market trends, and strategic options to inform senior leadership decision-making.
  • Prepare high-quality strategy documents, board materials, and executive presentations that synthesise complex information into clear, decision-ready recommendations.
  • Support the coordination and execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across business units and timely delivery of milestones.

Investments and M&A

  • Support the identification, screening, and evaluation of potential investment, M&A, and partnership opportunities through market research, financial analysis, and strategic fit assessment.
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuations, and risk-return analyses to support investment recommendations and governance submissions.
  • Assist in due diligence activities by coordinating inputs from internal stakeholders and external advisors, and preparing investment memoranda and analysis packs.
  • Support post-transaction monitoring, including tracking portfolio performance, governance obligations, and key value-creation milestones.

Cross-Functional & Operational

  • Operate as a flexible resource across both verticals, with prioritisation directed by the Head of Group Strategy & Investments and the respective vertical leads.
  • Structure and solve poorly defined problems through hypothesis-driven analysis, applying consulting-grade frameworks and analytical rigour.
  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams with discipline, autonomy, and attention to quality under time pressure.
  • Cultivate effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Operations, as well as with external advisors and partners.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to enhance productivity, insight generation, and output quality.
