About the job

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled ELV & AV Pre-Sales Engineer to support the design, estimation, and proposal development of integrated low-current and audiovisual solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ELV systems along with professional AV technologies and will work closely with sales, engineering, and project teams to deliver competitive technical solutions for commercial, hospitality, education, corporate, and government projects.

The role requires strong technical understanding, client-facing communication skills, and the ability to prepare compliant techno-commercial submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

  • Analyze client requirements, tender documents, specifications, and drawings.
  • Design and propose integrated ELV and AV solutions based on project requirements.
  • Prepare system architecture diagrams, BOQs, compliance statements, and technical submittals.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, distributors, and suppliers for solution validation and pricing.
  • Conduct site surveys and client meetings when required.
  • Support the sales team during technical presentations and customer discussions.

ELV Systems

Design and support solutions for:

  • CCTV & Video Surveillance
  • Access Control Systems
  • Structured Cabling
  • Public Address & Voice Evacuation
  • Intercom Systems
  • Gate Barrier & Parking Systems
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • IPTV / SMATV
  • Building Management System (BMS) integration basics

AV Systems

Design and support solutions for:

  • Meeting Room & Boardroom AV
  • Video Conferencing Systems
  • Digital Signage
  • Background Music Systems
  • Audio DSP solutions
  • Projection & Display Systems
  • Classroom / Training Room AV
  • LED Wall Solutions
  • Control & Automation Systems

Estimation & Documentation

  • Prepare accurate costing and technical proposals.
  • Develop bill of quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs.
  • Review technical compliance against tender specifications.
  • Assist in preparing bid documentation and RFQ responses.
  • Maintain proposal templates, product databases, and pricing records.

Coordination

  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams during project handover.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and vendors for technical clarifications.
  • Stay updated with industry standards and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in ELV and/ AV pre-sales engineering.
  • Experience working on commercial, hospitality, education, or enterprise projects.
  • Good understanding of ELV standards and AV integration practices.
  • Must be available in Qatar

Required Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of major ELV and AV systems and architecture.
  • Familiarity with products from brands such as:
    • Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Shure, Bose
    • Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Honeywell, Bosch
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender specifications.
  • Experience preparing BOQs and technical proposals.
  • Proficiency in:
    • AutoCAD
    • Microsoft Visio
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and IP-based systems.

Preferred Skills

  • CTS certification is an advantage.
  • Manufacturer certifications in AV or ELV systems are preferred.
  • Experience with Qatar market standards and consultant requirements is an added advantage.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
